La Paternal Espacio Proyecto (Asociación Civil Espacio Paternal Arte y Cultura) realiza de manera autogestiva y colaborativa desde el 2009 proyectos que vinculan la práctica artística con la realidad social.En ellos participan artistas, profesionales y vecinos del Barrio de La Paternal. Hasta la fecha han ofrecido sus trabajos más 400 artistas a más de 4.500 visitantes. Ha realizado exposiciones, residencias, mesas redondas, talleres, laboratorios,convocatorias abiertas y participado en diferentes centros culturales como el Centro Cultural Recoleta, CMD, SESC Itaquera (SP-Brasil), Casa Tres Patios (MED- Colombia) entre otros. Además de trabajar junto a artistas actualmente desarrolla proyectos junto a universidades, municipios, organizaciones barriales y culturales.

El proyecto está organizado en 3 ÁREAS DE TRABAJO

-ÁREA DE RESIDENCIA ARTÍSTICA. Donde se recibe a artistas, curadores e investigadores que vienen a Buenos Aires a desarrollar sus proyectos.

-ÁREA DE EXHIBICIÓN. Cuenta con dos salas para muestras y un espacio al aire libre.

-ÁREA DE INVESTIGACIÓN & PRODUCCIÓN. Se compone de cuatro programas, cada uno aborda una temática diferente y propone un cruce particular entre arte y contexto. Los mismo son:

-La Paternal Recicla (LPR) vincula arte y ambiente, con un carácter didáctico. Se centra en la experimentación e investigación de materiales y técnicas con el objetivo de contribuir a la conciencia ambiental.

-Paternal Arte y Política (PAPO) centrado en el acompañamiento de obra, con una modalidad de clínica artística, con el objetivo de promover una activación barrial desde acciones en la vía pública. Promueve la investigación teórica como base para la reflexión.

-MediaLab SirveVerse aborda la performance y la experimentación  a partir del trabajo con nuevas tecnologías. Promueve la investigación entre arte, tecnología y contexto.

-ConJUGAR Ciudad se dedica a promover desde el arte y el juego una la ciudadanía activa que conozca y haga valer el derecho a la ciudad. Hace foco en temas de patrimonio urbano, tanto material como inmaterial.

La Paternal Espacio Proyecto (CivilAssociationSpacePaternalArtandCulture) carries out self-managment and colaborative way proyects that link artistic practice with social reality since 2009, in which participate artists, professionals and neighbourhoods neighbors of La Paternal. More than 400 artist of all disciplines have showed their work to more than 4500 visitors in our place until now. We also have made exhibitions, residences, talks, workshops, art labs, open calls and had the chance to take part of different cultural spaces of Latin America like Centro Cultural Recoleta, CMD, SESC Itaquera (SP-Brasil), Casa Tres Patios (MED- Colombia) and beyond. Apart from working with artists, we are currently developing proyects in conjuntion with universities, districts, neighbourhoods and cultural organizations.  

La Paternal Espacio Proyecto is organized in 3 WORKING AREAS:

• ARTISTIC RESIDENCE AREA. Where we host artists, art curators and investigators who come to Buenos Aires to develop their own practice.  

• EXHIBITION AREA. In which you can count on two large halls and outdoor space.

• INVESTIGATION AND PRODUCTION AREA.  It consist of four programs, each one concerns a different thematic and proposes a cross between art and context.

1. La Paternal Recicla (LPR) links up art and environment with a didactic objective. It focuses on the experimentation and research of materials and techniques with the aim of contributing to environmental awareness.

2. Paternal Arte y Política (PAPO) seeks the accompaniment of a work of art, under the modality of artistic clinic, with the aim of promoting a neighborhood activation with actions on public roads. It also promotes theoretical research as a basis for reflection.

3. MediaLab SirveVerse is about performance and experimentation based on working with new technologies. Promotes research between art, technology and context.

4. ConJUGAR Ciudad is dedicated to promote from the art and the game an active citizenship that knows and enforces the right to the city. It focuses on urban heritage issues, both material and immaterial
